We initially offered this service as a response to the numerous cases of folliculitis we were treating. Folliculitis is an inflammation and infection of hair follicles, which we were seeing as a result of waxing or shaving.
Because laser hair removal has a much lower incidence of this complication, and because the hair reduction is permanent, and because our office is a comfortable, safe place for our patients, this service is available here. We are treating the bikini area (the vulva), the abdomen, thighs and lower legs, underarms, upper lip and chin, and even some male partners of our patients: their backs, ears, etc.
We have seen tremendous results and have avoided many courses of antibiotics due to the less optimal techniques’ complications.
